Attorney Jim Dixon graduated from the University of North Florida with a B.A. in Chemistry. Also, he graduated from the University of Florida with a Masters in Engineering. Subsequently, Mr. Dixon studied law at the Florida Coastal School of Law, graduated in the upper 25% of his class and obtained his J.D. Mr. Dixon is a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
Prior to practicing law full time, Mr. Dixon has over 30 years of professional experience in aviation where he provided technical and engineering guidance for U.S. Navy aircraft and systems from acquisition throughout their life cycles. His services included testing and evaluation, failure analyses and research and development of new technologies. During this period, Mr. Dixon served collaterally as a union president for over 5 years and practiced general law on a part time basis focusing on employment and labor law in the federal sector as well as some estate work such as wills and probate.
In addition to practicing before the local state courts, Mr. Dixon is a member of the bars for the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Dixon is a member of the Florida Bar and the Jacksonville Bar.
